| | | | | Planning A Trip To Disney World? The un-official stroller guide... | Ahh, the long wait has ended and your trip is near. The excitement from the little ones is culminating as your to-do list nears its end. Vacation in 2 weeks- you can hardly wait!!!
Reservations are all booked, clothes are already planned, the meal plan has already been selected. But wait! What stroller should I bring?????
I am glad you asked! After enjoying countless Disney vacations with my three kids I feel I might have some unofficial advice to offer. I recommend having a stroller seat available for every child 4 years old and younger. The parks are so spacious; it can be taxing on the little legs. It is vacation after all. Yes you can rent one midday if you prefer but it is difficult to differentiate which rental stroller is yours. Especially when the Disney staff moves them around!
Monorail or Bus? Let’s face it, we pack our strollers to the brim and expect the stroller to carry it all (it’s their turn after our 9 months!). But if you ride a bus to and from the Disney Parks, keep in mind that you will need to fold these beasts we've created! Umbrella strollers are fast and easy if you don't need them to haul a lot of stuff. The Carry You Pescara Bags come in very handy here & fold with the strollers!! If you are like me and have a hunky hubby coming along, bring the big stroller & let him handle the over packing (although he is certainly not to mention that part!). Fill that stroller to the brim and complement your hubby on how strong he is today! Be sure everyone on the bus can hear your proud complements.
Airlines! Yes they can be brutal on our beloved strollers. Be sure to have a protective stroller bag to put your stroller in.
It is hot and sunny in Florida. A good sun shade is needed for the stroller afternoon nappers to keep them safe and comfortable. A lightweight blanket could do the trick too. Keep the sun screen handy and stay hydrated by keeping drinks at hand. And an Ipod is always good entertainment while waiting too.
Well, you are well prepared and ready for your hard earned vacation! Relax knowing your organization will pay off in your upcoming trip. Capture the memories of your little ones squealing with joy, because there is something magical about Disney and your family. Enjoy your trip!
Happy Travels,
Sophia
